Brian
has over 26 years of electronic and computer systems repair and management
experience. He most recently held the position of Data Center Operations
Manager for a local Austin, Texas-based high tech company where he provided
leadership to the Information Systems Technology team. His recent accomplishments
include developing a strong team of highly skilled technologists
supporting a global network of tightly integrated Unix, Windows NT
and Windows 2000 servers and networking equipment (24x7x365). Brian
was also responsible for the design of several corporate data centers
from bare walls to world-class computing environments supporting the latest
Sun, HP, Dell, and Compaq servers running a myriad of operating systems
including Sun Solaris, Windows NT, and Windows 2000. He was
a key contributor in a world record Oracle Applications (ERP) implementation.
He holds various awards including Contributor of the Quarter.
Brian also spent ten years at Motorola in Austin, Texas; two
years as a senior test equipment engineer, followed by another eight years
as the senior systems and network manager for semiconductor products sectors
final manufacturing operations group. Here he was responsible for all
aspects of network and data center design and management with a team of
twenty-five supporting systems and network administrators. Other duties
included the integration of various automatic test equipment systems into
the global manufacturing process. He wrote and delivered a paper at Hewlett
Packard in Germany on the specifics of integrating the latest highest
end test systems into the microprocessor test environment. The procedures
he developed are still in use today worldwide in the Motorola microprocessor
manufacturing process.
